Wow, it’s April already? Yes, it sure is. And there’s no fooling around for this week’s LOVIEE. This one’s a bit light, but not entirely by choice; there really was not a whole lot to pick from.

The monthly LOVIEE may be a day or two later than usual and I may add additional events as the week goes on. I’ve looked ahead and I already see several truly exciting things coming up in April. Aurora Picture Show presents this curated program featuring the work of six artist teams, highlighting the highs and lows of working and living together throughout the creative process. 10-W13-1

Road Show Send-off Extravaganza, Lucky’s, 801 St. Emanuel, 6-9pm. Join the Road Show Blondes, Aimee Woodall and Jayme Lamm, on their last night in Houston before emarking on a 2,000+ mile road trip to New York City to raise money for the Jed Foundation (suicide prevention and mental health services for college students). 10-W13-2

Food & Movie Night, Sedition Books, 901 Richmond Ave., 8pm, $5 suggested donation. Vegan snacks and dessert accompany a screening of Out of Balance: ExxonMobil’s Impact on Climate Change, a documentary by Tom Jackson. 10-W13-3

An Evening with Nick Gaitan & Andrew Karnavas, Rudyard’s British Pub, time not given. Nick is best known for his role as bassist for The Umbrella Man; Andrew is best known as lead singer of Runaway Sun. Together they will be performing some of the songs from Andrew’s upcoming solo album Film Noir (Nick played bass on the album as well). 10-W13-4
