2010-11-29/12-05 Weekly LOVIEE

Yes, it’s a bit late. The holidays are starting to get hectic around here. I will follow up with the monthly LOVIEE later tonight or possibly early tomorrow morning, as well as the Via Colori recap that’s becoming more stale as days go on. (Yes, I went, and yes, I have a recap started.)

Oh, and I am looking for new sources for local event information. I am expanding the scope to include more events inside or very nearly outside the city limits of Houston. I may still lean a bit towards central (ITL) events but given I have recently located rather far out (northwest, OTB) I will start shifting the focus a bit towards that direction.

Ongoing This Week

The Ice At Discovery Green, $10+tax including skate rental per person, see website for hours and details. Back again for the 2010-11 winter, an outdoor ice rink in Houston! The model boat basin portion of Kinder Lake (the part directly behind the Anheuser-Busch stage) will be frozen over using renewable energy and transformed into an ice skating rink. Great if you miss outdoor ice skating in your northern US or Canadian hometown, or if you just don’t feel like battling Galleria traffic to go ice skating. 10/11-IADG
