2011-01-10/16 Weekly LOVIEE

The more astute observers may notice only one event specific to the Weekly LOVIEE this time around. I am highlighting more repeating events this week as well as carrying over events from the Monthly LOVIEE, as there was little specific to this week to be added to that already long list. I still may add to this list if I find out about other events later in the week. Which reminds me…

I’m constantly on the lookout for more events to post about. You can drop me a line using the site’s contact form or send an email to quinnsbigcity@fastmail.net. This latter address may change in the weeks ahead as I finalize semi-permanent email hosting arrangements for all of my blogs and sites, including spam filtering.

Ongoing This Week

The Ice At Discovery Green, $10+tax including skate rental per person, see website for hours and details. Back again for the 2010-11 winter, an outdoor ice rink in Houston! The model boat basin portion of Kinder Lake (the part directly behind the Anheuser-Busch stage) will be frozen over using renewable energy and transformed into an ice skating rink. Great if you miss outdoor ice skating in your northern US or Canadian hometown, or if you just don’t feel like battling Galleria traffic to go ice skating. Last full week for this attraction. 10/11-IADG
