2012-07-02/08 Weekly LOVIEE

Very brief list this week since I was unable to get anything more substantial up sooner. I originally had planned to post a LOVIEE for July 4 but on Monday I had some substantial computer issues that precluded that from happening. Maybe next year.

There’s one show added besides the carryovers from the monthly LOVIEE that I didn’t know about any sooner than a couple of days ago. I haven’t featured this artist on here in some time, and I did not want to miss the opportunity.

Continuing This Week

Large Animal Games presented by Mildred’s Umbrella Theatre Company, Studio 101, 1824 Spring Street, Thu-Sat ticket prices (no show on Sat 06-30): $18 regular/$10 students & seniors, Mon ticket price: “pay as you like”, tickets available online (all tickets will call). As described on the company’s website: “This incisive, unexpected, and larger than life tale of sex, love, and self delusion tracks the overlapping escapades of a group of friends old enough to know better in love but still naive enough to mess things up anyway, and the man who supplies them with equal parts tough love, lingerie and self awareness. In a series of fluid scenes, Large Animal Games takes a comically skewed and razor-sharp look at modern relationships through a mix of bullfights, big game hunting and intimate apparel.” Written by Steve Yockey. 12-LAG
